| Man, ok... So could I possibly wait any longer in between entries? Things with me are going well... Jon is about to start a new job so soon we'll be making more money (nobody can complain about that!), Emma is now 15 months old, and we're due for another girl (yahoo! they're easier and cleaner!) in November. So, that's exciting. I have taken some time off from working to really spend some quality time with Emma before the new baby gets here, and I'm so glad that I did. I'll go back to school (again) in January for Nursing and will hopefully be finished in a year and a half (God willing!). So, things are really falling into place. Jon and I are getting more and more involved in our church and are really starting to see the fruits of our labor. It's amazing what you'll see happen in your life once you start putting God first for a change! All in all, things are getting better and better with each day. So, we can't complain! Well, I guess if you're completely honest there's always something in your life that you could complain about, and that things for me is being pregnant! I mean, don't get me wrong, the end result is a tremendous blessing but it's the journey that is totally unpleasant. And let me tell you, all of those women who say that they had a fabulous pregnancy where they were never sick, could eat whatever they wanted, loved being fat and floated on an airy cloud for 40 weeks, WERE LYING! But, I digress... God is good and in the grand scheme of things, this just happens to be my burden to bear in order to reach the most supreme conclusion of having a beautiful baby. Hope that all is well for everyone out there in Cyberland.

| Ok, wow... I've really got to stop waiting so long before I update my page!!! Alright, so I have been doing alot of reconnecting with old friends lately, and I must say it does feel really good to catch up with people and find out where they are in their lives... I must admit it's strange though because I don't feel as old as I am... it feels like just yesterday I was getting ready to go off to college and everyone was so upset because they would be headed in different directions from all of their friends, etc. But, never-the-less it's nice to hear from people that I used to be so close with and see how life is treating them now.
Everything is going pretty well for us here in Bamaland! The deep South is really starting to grow on me. Emma Grace (my baby girl! ) is now 10 months old and she's definitely mobile! She crawls all over the place and is starting to walk to get where she wants to go. You can already tell she is most definitely going to be an independent woman!!! Just imagine where that came from, those of you that know me well!
Nursing school starts back up in May so I'm taking a break while I can, because once I start back my medical classes are going to be a killer! And, for those of you who know how bad I am at math... I have to take Statistics and Calculus!!! (Just leave it to me to go to an Engineering school to get my Nursing degree! )
Hope that all is well for everyone out there and hope that you take pity on your old friend and drop me a line to let me know how you're doing! I'm including a picture of Emma Grace so you can see who I get to spend my days with! She is a gift from God and a true blessing in my life!!! Best Wishes and God Bless!

| Well, what can I say?... It's been a WHILE, to say that least, since I"ve updated any info on this site... and, alot has happened! For one thing, I got married Nov. 8th to the greatest guy ever!!! And we just got home late last night from an amazing trip to the Bahamas for Valentine's Day!!! It was beautiful, so beautiful we even ended up buying some property out there, can you believe it!? It was sort of a late honeymoon trip since we didn't get to go anywhere big right after we got married (because I was just about to finish my semester in college). But it was awesome! Botanical Gardens, Deserted Beaches, Nature Hikes, exotic frozen fruit drinks, and the most beautiful palm trees I"ve ever seen! Plus, I gambled for the first time while we were there (nothing big, just slot machines) and let me tell you, I suck at it!!! I think I would have stayed and fed that machine the rest of our trip $$ if Jon hadn't pulled me away! It's so addicting!!! Anywho, gotta run because we're trying to get on a set schedule for working out some in the mornings, (yeah right, like that will happen, but I'm gonna try at least!) so we're off to power walk! Hope all is well for everyone, and I'll talk to you later taters!!! | | |
| Alright... so here I am again. And boy do I have some updating to do!!! So get comfortalbe because this is going to be a long one, folks!!!
I am currently living in Decatur, AL (where all of my extended family, and now my parents- they just moved, are located). I have my own little house, and we have spent about the last 2 months renovating it. It's been fun, but exhausting and I'm getting anxious!!! I am just about ready to move in! I started school back at UAH- The Univeristy of Alabama Huntsville, and it's not so bad so far. When all is said and done I will receive a Communications Degree along with a Marketing Minor. And, after only being here a few months, there's already big plans for the future! I HAVE MET THE MAN OF MY DREAMS!!! And this time my heart's not going to get squashed like a bug by an evil jerk! We have been talking about our futures (together) and have been tossing around the idea of marriage... possibly next summer? But don't worry, as soon as I see Wedding Bells fast approaching, I'll let you know!!! I am really liking living here and being around family. I've never really been able to just pop by and visit with my aunts or my cousin and her adorable 2 year old (I am an honorary aunt to him by the way, "Aunt Jeh-kah" or "Zessie" which ever he's in the mood to call me! hehe!) I have been working at Victoria's Secret, and I'm still selling Mary Kay I might add!!! (shameless plug, but hey! I'm not a Marketing student for nothing!!!) The only thing I can complain about is that I was recently in a pretty terrible car accident, and I COMPLETELY TOTALED my baby- that's right, my Patriot Blue, 2001 Dodge Ram, 1500, 4x4 Off-Road Truck! It was pretty traumatic, but the worst injuries I had were a broken foot, some pretty heinous internal bruising and some nasty Air Bag burns. So, actually I was quite lucky. My boyfriend, Jonathan, was in the car with me, and he is going to have to have knee surgery and alot of physical therapy to strengthen his knee and shoulder, but he's doing much better. It is actually a miracle that we even walked away from the accident. The paramedics who were rushing us to the hospital said that the wreck was so bad, we shouldn't be alive at all. You should have seen the truck! We hit a train track and -because of my off-road suspension- bounced off the side of the road. You could say that the road curved left, but we went straight. We barreled down through a ditch, hit a huge pine tree, then flipped the truck- breaking all the windows, causing it to land facing the opposite direction (the direction we were coming from) and putting the truck on it's side (passenger side down to the ground) in the ditch. Jon had to pull me out of the truck because my seat belt was pinning me down and my foot was broken. Now I know why there's a reason they tell you not to drive with flip-flops on! But, as scary and dangerous as the wreck was, and even more so- should have been, we are doing fine. We (Jon and I) go to the Orthopaedic Surgeon today to see when he's going to have to have surgery, and I start back to work on Friday. We were extremely lucky to have made it with as few injuries as we did. I know that our guardian angels were working over-time that night!!! Right now my parents are searching for a comparable truck to replace mine, so I'll be in a new vehicle soon! So, despite that minor hick-up, things are going really well for me. Everything's starting to really come together. I hope that all of you are fairing well, and that you get in touch with me soon!!! I miss everybody so much it's rediculous!!! Until next time, I bid you farewell. | | |
